Ventanas Problem

In this topic, the main problem is the contamination produced for Codelco.
Heavy metals pollutions is a serious environmental  problema that has had important effects on the people health across generations, especially in childrens. This problem is characterized by adverse effects of pollutants on health and ecosystems. In Ventanas for more than thirty years the population is victims of toxic pollution.
Respiratory problems, lead poisoning and other pollutants are particularly widespread in the area. Studies show that almost all children are contaminated with unacceptable levels of lead. However, authorities, companies and the state do little to reduce emissions or to remedy the damage caused to the environment and their inhabitants, who for decades of suffering uncontrolled operation of poisoning due to industrial projects in the coast of the V region and particularly in the communes of Quintero and Puchuncaví.
Today, the people affected have solicited to authorities of health that can adopt suitable measures for help them. Among demand measures we can found: request for an epidemiological study to establish through blood and urine samples the presence of heavy metals such as arsenic, mercury, lead and copper.
In the case of our society is the public who can force the government to take action. The mission of the State is conducting a preventive task, reporting through serious health campaigns, clear and transparent, through national and regional media, the entire population of the health problem that arises, in addition to the risk posed presence of heavy metals in dust and its health consequences.
